WHG Clients Daniel and Percy Cycle Coast to Coast in Florida
Meet Percy Canteenwalla and Daniel Friedline who are clients, veterans, and personal friends of Attorney Michael Hoffman and WHG.
Recently, they made the cover of Lake Mary Life as they embarked on their adventure to ride coast to coast on Florida’s new network of bike trails.
According to the magazine—which they were on the cover by the way—the idea for the Journey started early in 2023 when Percy was thinking about his pending 40th birthday. He knew he wanted to do something challenging and fun, and since he had recently taken up casual cycling, he thought a long-distance bike trip might be quite the challenge.
“I wanted something that would challenge me. Something that would make me realize I’m not old!” Percy told Lake Mary Life.
He ran the idea by Daniel, his friend and fellow veteran, who immediately agreed to join him. Even though he isn’t a cyclist.

Both Percy (Marines) and Daniel (Air Force) are U.S. Veterans who both did tours in Iraq. After his service, Percy met pre-law firm owner and fellow U.S. Veteran Michael Hoffman (Navy) in college where they became close friends.
Later, Percy, and his friend Daniel, contact Michael to help them get the VA disability benefits they deserve.
Obviously, Daniel or Percy are still suckers for adventure, so the trip was planned and it was time to get peddling. Percy found the 250-mile Florida’s Coast-to-Coast Trail, did some research and a date was set.
On Veterans Day weekend they began the trip, starting at Playlinda Beach in Titusville where they got off to a rocky start. But you will have to read about that in the Jan-Feb 2024 issue of Lake Mary Life.
