Job Responsibilities:

  • Client Communication: Assist paralegals by taking client calls, addressing inquiries,
    and scheduling appointments.
  • Paperwork Management: File and organize legal documents, correspondence, and
    case materials.
  • Attention to Detail: Ensure accuracy and completeness of paperwork and filings.
  • Deadline Management: Assist in managing case deadlines and calendar appointments.
  • Support to Paralegals: Provide administrative support to paralegals, including drafting
    correspondence, preparing legal documents, and conducting legal research.

Work Environment:

Experience with Salesforce or similar case management systems are advantageous. Veterans Disability Attorney

Position Located in Boca Raton, FL, Winston-Salem, NC, or New Orleans, LA

Job Description: We are in search of a driven and experienced Veterans Disability Attorney to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a deep-seated passion for advocating on behalf of veterans, coupled with a proven track record in agency and Board of Veterans’ Appeals (BVA) work.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Advocate for veterans in disability claims and appeals before the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) and the Board of Veterans’ Appeals.
  • Conduct comprehensive case analysis to develop and execute effective case strategies.
  • Prepare and present compelling legal documents, including briefs, motions, and appeals, supported by thorough research.
  • Maintain ongoing communication with clients, offering updates on case progress and addressing inquiries with empathy and clarity.
  • Collaborate closely with fellow team members to ensure cohesive case management approaches.
  • Stay abreast of relevant laws, regulations, and policies impacting veterans’ benefits.
  • Engage in outreach and educational initiatives aimed at supporting the veteran community.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active membership in good standing with a State Bar.
  • Minimum of one year of hands-on experience in veterans’ disability law, encompassing agency and BVA work.
  • Strong analytical prowess, research skills, and exceptional writing abilities.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a compassionate approach to client interactions.
  • Ability to manage a substantial caseload with meticulous attention to detail and effective time management.
