VA To Automatically Review Agent Orange Claims

Author : Adam Werner
Table of Contents

Vietnam-era veterans and their spouses who were denied benefits for bladder cancer, hypothyroidism, and Parksonism will have their claims automatically reviewed without the need to file a new claim.  VA recently expanded the list of diseases presumptively associated with exposure to Agent Orange.  Added to that list are bladder cancer, hypothyroidism, and Parksonism. VA confirmed it will apply the provisions of court orders related to Nehmer v. Department of Veterans Affairs which require VA to automatically review previously denied claims for these conditions.  Affected veterans and their survivors should receive a letter from VA regarding their claim’s status.

If you were denied a claim for benefits arising out of exposure to Agent Orange, please contact Werner, Hoffman, Greig & Garcia.  You can fill out the form below and we will respond within one business day.
