We are honored to announce WHG’s newest partner and shareholder, Brendan Garcia.
We Are Excited About the Amazing Talent Brendan Will Bring to WHG
Brendan is a U.S. Marine veteran with 13+ years of legal expertise in the VA and private practice. He is dedicated to serving those who have served our nation and has positively impacted countless veterans’ lives. As one of the most successful veteran disability benefits attorneys in the nation, there is no limit to what Brendan will bring to Werner, Hoffman, Greig & Garcia.
Brendan is a U.S. Military Veteran, So He Knows Where Our Clients Are Coming From
Just like two of the original WHG partners, Brendan is also a veteran. He served with the United States Marine Corps, serving four years on active duty between 1999 and 2003.
During that time, he served on two deployments in the Middle East. Once he was back, Brendan started dedicating his time to veterans who were unable to receive their VA benefits.
Brendan’s Time Working for the VA Means More Insight
Prior to starting his own law firm, VetLaw, Brendan worked for the Department of Veterans Affairs in Washington, D.C.
He started his work at the VA with the Board of Veterans’ Appeals. This board was created in 1933 by President Franklin D. Roosevelt with the power to give final decisions on appeals and “to provide every possible assistance” to injured veterans and to take final action that would “be fair to the Veteran as well as the Government.”
He was then selected as a Presidential Management Fellow, which allowed him to work in the VA’s Office of General Counsel, Compensation Service (formerly C&P), and the Office of Business and Process Integration. The Presidential Management Fellow is a premier leadership development program that only accepts the most promising employees.
Leading One of the Most Successful Vet Disability Law Firms in America
After deciding he wanted to be able to help veterans at every step of the process, he moved on from the VA and started his own private practice. Brendan moved to North Carolina to be closer to one of VA’s largest Regional Offices in Winston-Salem, where he opened VetLaw in 2015. VetLaw would quickly rise to be one of the most successful law firms helping vets in the nation. Today, VetLaw is a partner firm under WHG so that it can continue to provide top-notch, award-winning service to our clients.
